Challenge

Freshness takes center stage

In an overcrowded category, Old Spice needed to launch Cold Spice across very different markets without losing its essence. The challenge: make extreme, long-lasting freshness tangible through a universal code—something that works in any country or culture. All while evolving the “Unbelievably Long Lasting” platform into new territory, yet keeping its iconic tone intact: absurd, clever, and unmistakable.

The project

Cool to the very extreme

We pushed the benefit to the limit: a castaway who isn’t rescued because he smells too good. In a hostile environment, his freshness defies all logic and becomes the story itself. From that contrast, we built a simple, direct, and memorable piece that puts the product front and center, amplifies Old Spice’s “smartly ridiculous” spirit, and works on a global scale.
